Board of Trustees – Care for Children

CHAIRMAN: Mr. Hans Cornelissen

- Responsible for presiding over board or committee meetings. - The Chairman acts as the Liaison with Nurture the Children Foundation of Pampanga. - Coordinates activities of Care for Children in the Netherlands. - Fulfills tax and legal requirements for the foundation in the Netherlands. - Ensuring that the board members receive accurate, timely and clear information, including the foundation’s current status, activities and developments. - To enable the board to take and make sound decisions, monitor effectively and provide advice to promote the growth of the foundation and the success of its activities for the benefit of the children. - In close cooperation with Nurture the Children Foundation discuss and review strategic plan and develop action plans.

TREASURER: Mr. Paul Cornelissen

General financial oversight

- Responsible for directing the foundation’s budget, overseeing investment of funds and supervising cash management activities. - Liaise activities of Nurture the Children Foundation and Care for Children Foundation - Liaise with designated volunteer and donors about financial matters. - Ensure that appropriate financial systems and controls are in place. - Ensure that record-keeping and accounts meet the conditions of funders or statutory bodies. - Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing activities and other requirements.

SECRETARY: Mr. Aad van der Kwast

- The Secretary is responsible for ensuring that precise and adequate documentation exists to meet legal and other requirements. - The Secretary records minutes of meetings and submits various reports to the board. The secretary is responsible for ensuring that precise minutes of meetings are noted, approved and maintained in the files.

MEMBER OF THE BOARD: Mr. Rob van der Akker

- Responsible in coordinating with donors in the Netherlands. - Makes sure to attend important meetings of the board to be knowledgeable of the activities and other information about foundation matters. - Coordinates with medical specialists and therapists in the Netherlands.
